Poetry

Love Poem written with Carson Daniel

Underneath the windswept sky,

A falcon descends upon white plateau.

He sleeps restlessly as waves crash endlessly

Sounding like you.

Ecstacy

Gold Tones trace the skin,

Bone town, Elysium tusk,

My muse is made

of Ecstasy.

We will float on

Her fingertips, on

Winds unfurled by hands in bloom.

Her lace webs are weaved

Immaculately, she

Will eat ten arms

With no dribble

On her bib.

Widow Queen.

I will obey you for

An eternity, hear your

Sighs in crashing waves.

Your voice will always

Be unchanging;

Your face will

Live there in

Beyond.

My muse is made

of Ecstacy.

Recount

Reincarnated moments of laughter,

Samantha's scrunched up nose,

She says the stars in the night sky

Are just tomatoes on the vine,

Ready for us to pick.

Ask Jeremy about his sister, ask him

If he's ever thought about losing her;

Do you think he knows what loss tastes like?

He told me they've never cooked a meal

Together.

Running lamp regret,

So he does not know what loss is,

But he tells me about wasted love;

I told him that their shadows on the wall

Move the same way.

He took me off guard, he asked me

"What are you most ashamed of?"

I told him how wrong it feels to define

Another's freedom, I told him that I regret

I've never loved anyone enough to try.

I'm on the cusp of something,

Something within grasp;

Iris says that I'm lucky, but she knows

What I'm most afraid of.
